Unleaded is now PlatinumBlack

Houston agency Unleaded Communications has rebranded to PlatinumBlack.

I first saw it on LinkedIn:

Here’s what the announcement webpage has to say:

PlatinumBlack reflects our evolution over the last two decades and who we are today. “Platinum black” is a fine powder with powerful catalytic properties, used to increase the rate of chemical reactions.

Similarly, PlatinumBlack helps our clients move faster, think bigger, and execute with precision. With the name selected, we detailed a new brand strategy and visual identity that is distinctive and reflects our unique value.

I’ve been noticing a trend of agencies rebranding and leaning into strategy lately. That makes a lot of sense because AI is making creative work a lot less valuable now.
