Officially joining Love Advertising
In 2022, I quit my job at Langrand to be a fullt-time stay-at-home dad.
I was blessed enough to do that for nearly four years until God graced me with the opportunity to join Love Advertising as a contract Senior Designer in November 2025.
I worked there full-time on a contract basis for six months until May 2026, when I finally transitioned to become a PERMANENT employee! 🎉
I am very grateful
It’s honestly pretty amazing to find a full-time role in this job market. Not only did that happen, but I happened to land at a great place that’s a great fit. I prayed for God to help me find a suitable job, and my prayers were answered.
God’s timing is always perfect. Sometimes it’s yes… sometimes it’s no… Sometimes it’s quick… sometimes it’s slow. For this particular prayer, it actually took just a few months. Didn’t take long at all.
How did God held?
He used people to help me.
When I began asking around for leads, one of my former creative directors helped me get an interview at another local design agency. It didn’t lead to an offer, but it was amazing practice and helped me adjust to become much better at interviewing. (Which eventually led to a successful interview at Love Advertising.)
But let’s get back to the topic of God’s providence. The most obvious God-at-work moment for me is when my former colleague UNEXPECTEDLZy reached out to me, specifically asking about my job hunt.
Long story short—he texted me, asking me if I wanted him to ask a connection to get my application noticed at Love Advertising:

Now, a little bit about my personality. I can sometimes be a little shy. Especially when it comes to asking favors from people.
I was seriously tempted to say, “Naw, don’t worry about it, man. I already submitted my application. If they like me, they’ll reach out. If not, then whatever happens, happens.”
But then I remembered that story about God sending a boat:

And so I texted back, “Sure. Why not."“
And guess what?
The very next day, I received an email asking for a phone interview.
That phone interview led to an in-person interview.
Which led to an offer for a Senior Designer contract role.
Thank you God, for providing!
Being a stay-at-home dad, I was available right away to help. And Love Advertising was in a very busy season and needed help, well, right away. I believe that worked to my advantage.
I started the following Monday.
For six months, I grinded. Truly did my best to help out. Tried my best to be productive, fruitful, professional, all of the above. At the same time I was balancing helping my family. With the sudden change in routines, it was challenging, but we made it work.
Six months later, I transitioned to become an OFFICIAL Love Advertising team member
I’m happy to be here! I try my best to trust God, and try to discern where God wants me to be. And wherever I’m at, I’ll try my best to be faithful and to honor God by working diligently and putting forth my best effort.
And that’s what I shall continue to do, until God shows me otherwise.
This also means me looking out for other people. Returning the favor, so to speak. I want God to be able to use me to connect others and help other people find jobs as well. And recently I’ve actually been blessed to do just that. It’s a great come-full-circle moment.
